We are seeking a Security and Network Lead Engineer for one of our NHS clients in Essex.
The Technology Security and Network Lead will work within ITILv3 and IS027001:2013 frameworks to successfully contribute to the success of the Technology Team. In addition to the business as usual duties, there will be an element of project work such as designs for new sites, upgrade of infrastructure and development of unified communications systems. Whilst some of the work will be ‘hands on’, high quality documentation and plans will be required to be produced for this senior and strategic role.
This role will require working closely with the Technology Operations Manager and Head of IT & Data to ensure all areas of the network are maintained and developed to high standards, security is of the highest priority and part of the role will be to analyse gaps and recommend improvements and remediation. Management of CareCERT recommendations and new security technologies form part of this role.
A strong knowledge of complex networks, communication protocols, firewalls and Cisco IPT & VC is essential and will be utilised when planning deployments to new sites and during regular review and improvement of existing sites.

Previous NHS experience is preferable, however not essential for this role.
